I just can't with the cooking vids!!! I have a chef in the family, everything she does is just so so wrong!!! I literally said " holy shit " out loud when I saw her dump that Montreal steak spice on top of the seasoned salt. That spice is sooo salty, she's not subtle about anything. Salt toughens meat so you should use as little as possible. That's why chefs use Kosher salt, so they can pinch a bit to add to dishes.
Grilling those chops to that extent would toughen the meat. An awesome steak is seared at high heat for less than a minute per side, then finished in a cast iron pan in the oven to desired tenderness. Lamb chops have a very distinct flavor & she's killing it by all the overkill of spices.
Then she's seasoning shrimp with the shell on? Lol!
I can see where people who don't know a thing about culinary would think she's a master chef, as she called herself.....but not even close. You can tell by her style of cooking that she hasn't been cultured in fine dining, which are the dishes she's trying to pass off. All those millions & hubby was probably too embarrassed to expose her to those restaurants.
As with a lot of things less is more when it comes to enhancing the flavor of meat.

Her Mother's cooking is amazing, she stays true to her heritage for the most part & cooks comfort food which she does very well.

I forgot to mention the ever present chicken broth bath & if she's referring to Paprika as having a smokey flavor she's using Spanish smoked Paprika. Regular paprika does not have a smokey flavor whatsoever.

Salt doesn't dry out meat if done PROPERLY.
It actually increases tenderness if you salt your meat EARLY, several hours and a day prior to cooking.
However Nina absolutely is chewing on leather if you salt directly before cooking it pulls out everything

I have regular paprika in my cabinet and it has a very slight smokey scent and taste, but it's mainly used for colour.

i can not believe her supporters are arguing with me in the comments about whether or not her food is overcooked. when shrimp are tightly coiled like that they are OVERCOOKED. when chicken looks like you could dribble it, it is OVERCOOKED.

I can't handle her weave... First the placement of the hair is horrible, especially at the root. SHE KNOWS IT TOO.. if you watch her snaps, she only films for the forehead down. Not to mention the color and hair quality looks like she's wearing a mop head as a wig... LAST BUT NOT LEAST..
