Another shot of poor Boss standing at the gate, longing for some attention.... T__T Are they just doing it on purpose now!? It almost seems like it...

I hope Mary's mum is as you guys described. I didn't watch the whole vlog but yeah she seemed kind of not impressed. I hope she can bring Mary back to reality somehow. I don't know for how long she's staying but I hope she gets to see the true side of Ken. And then she might tell Mary to RUNNN.

I was reaaally bored today so I watched their family vlog thing. Two observations.
1. Are they always this cringe? Ken you don't need to slap random statues' butts in public and then make Mary do it. Pls.
2. Does Ken get some sick pleasure from embarrasing Mary in front of the camera?

*Mary kissing/cooing at Layla*
Ken: Aw just trying to be so cute in front of the camera right now? Trying real hard?"

*at the restaurant*
Ken: So we got our appetizers and (puts camera on Mary) Mary has eaten them all. She's just grabbin bread and stuffin in there, eat the shrimps-"
To which Mary feels the need to say: "I didn't eat much more than you."

This last one's especially my favorite, mocking someone who is clearly insecure about their weight. Real nice of you Ken, that's gotta help the self-esteem

Oh my god this latest vlog is so awkward... Mary's mum walks straight to the sightseeing while Mary and Ken are still struggling to get Layla into the carrier out of the car - like "hurry the f up" lol - and now and then Ken and Mary literally stop to do some random babytalk in weird voices with Layla in the camera while her mum just kind of stands a few metres away like... okay then... then they start spanking Elvis' statue and mum's just standing there in the background trying to read the information like "mkay"... I'd say "fucking weirdos" but "weirdo" is too much of a compliment.

Also Mary's mum constantly sits next to Ken, not next to Mary? Every single time all of them sit down, without fail, she sits next to Ken, whoever has the camera... I mean every family is different but the once a year/two years my mum sees me she is right next to me the entire time... and she is not an overly attached mum, she has no problem letting me go live my life, but when she does see me she wants to be close to me. I don't know, kinda seemed a bit weird to me. Especially if I had a baby during a visit, she would be sitting next to me non-stop to help me out taking the baby and/or getting comfortable.

Also I can see they're definitely struggling to pay for the baby and save for retirement, going to Outback Steakhouse and then Subway for lunch the next day, definitely the lifestyle of people "trying to make it work"

Ken cares more about the reptiles than his daughter, he talks and interacts with them much more than anything....

When he does hold Layla it's awkward and he tries turning her head towards the cloud thing like she's a toy.

I like how in the beginning he was like "We went out with my parents, it was great wasn't it Mary!?" but can never say anything nice about her family. I have a feeling they don't like him very much.

I'm getting over watching Ken taunt Lunchbox constantly. Yes, Blue Tongues are easy going and can be handled freely without getting overly stressed, that said, he just pokes her so much... why. Also they keep calling her a "smelly" or "stinky" lizard - the only thing that stinks about blue tongues (my neighbours have a whole bunch) is their feces; and you are supposed to keep their enclosures extremely clean, cleaning out feces at least daily. I mean unless I missed a memo where Blue Tongues just shit all day long - why aren't you just doing your daily cleaning after she poops, instead of her pooping in the morning and you cleaning it 12 hours later while complaining about the smell... IF they clean daily at all. Pretty sure the daily cleaning is meant to be a health requirement though...

I do have to admit I've grown quite fond of the nursery - the "woodland creature" theme with the nice neutral colours is very classy and welcoming. I didn't "see it" when she had just done the painting, but I do think she did a good job now that I can see the whole picture.

Ugh the new vlog. It makes him sad that his precious outdoor mats are chewed up by Boss???? Well Ken, it makes me sad that you're neglecting your dog to a point that it chews stuff out of pure boredom. That poor pup's brain and entire way of life is so sad, he just wants love. Ugh. Also ken's vlog descriptions often give away his true thoughts I feel. Upset that his own child (he just says "the baby") limits the amount of time his probably equally lazy 30 year old friends come by to play card games???? You're a PARENT, Get over the adolescent shit! I truly bet mary wants to flee and her mom told her to GTFO. who knows what'll happen anymore.

Edit: ok watched more of the vlog and I'm pissed. Ken literally tells Boss to go away and that he's a bad dog for doing what he did (pooping in the yard? Chewing things?) Ken is such a piece of shit. Mary too for that matter. You're a real awful person if you mistreat your own dog this way.

Ugh... you're right, Skittles. Dogs start chewing things when they're bored and lack attention. Boss is a newfoundlander which is a working dog. They need something to do! To keep a dog like him in the (gross) yard with nothing to do is just so cruel! They're showing more and more evidence for animal abuse in their video and I feel like they don't even realize.....

also lol the way Ken holds Layla (and shakes her and turns her head) really makes me cringe... and how he still calls her 'the baby'. :/ It's your daughter for gods sake not a thing... Treat her as a human being.

I feel like that's the status quo for now until she's a toddler and probably beyond that too. She's just gonna be 'the baby/the kid/it' for him because he just doesn't feel any sort of connection with her. He knows he's a parent and that hes supposed to love his daughter but in my opinion he just doesn't feel it. Nothing has changed, he didn't magically transform into a father. He's just plain old ken, empty inside and focused on himself and making himself comfortable. If he'd 'shift' somehow it would happen already. Mary gambled on it and lost. And it's depressing. And the gamble itself was really stupid and irresponsible, too.

All of this insanity, because a couple never leaving their house, never socialising, sitting in the dark with blinds drawn, recording their life constantly, faking emotions for the camera for money and hoarding pets with a variety of neglect is exactly that. It's insanity. It's what a hoarders or a serial killers lifestyle would be like if someone would describe it. It's basically voluntary imprisonment. People get put into house arrest for committing crimes for crying out loud. They do it voluntarily and brag about it like it's the best thing ever. It's jarring to a person like Mary's mom who had a couple of kids and seems just.. So normal. This is all just fucked up, man.

Man in the latest vlog Mary got new jeans and had to throw in there they were $20 - so I presume she went shopping with mum and probably complained about not spending money the whole time. And as soon as they came home they sat down in the dark living room (with lines of sunlight beaming across the edges of the curtains) to watch Orange is the New Black.

What a life Mary. Living the dream.

Wow, she is actually claiming to have "evidence" that Boss comes in the house... and shows photos from before Layla was born of Boss being in the house. You can tell by the terrarium behind her not being Lunchbox... that is not a recent photo. Yes, Boss used to be in the house. Now he's not. She is actually claiming they let Boss in the house, even though KEN SPECIFICALLY SAID THEY DON'T!

She decided to go on Snapchat as well to clear some things up after the Twitter rant. Apparently, she just thought the comments about Boss were "hilarious" because they are soooo "silly" and that's why she tweeted about them. She was actually in a very good mood and super chill while tweeting as well ( Yeah, sure you were Mary )
She also publically called out two people as well :/
The tone she uses as well, she's so condescending BUT SHE'S SO HAPPY AND HER LIFE IS GREAT!!!!!
She also had to mention Ken was currently streaming.

Life couldn't be more amazing right now, apparently! Sitting inside with the curtains drawn all day, waiting for Ken to come out of the shed and start complaining about doing anything at all, arguing with strangers on Twitter, whoring your kid out on the internet while making sure Boss doesn't sneak into the house, complain about not being able to spend any money while looking at purchasing more $500+ snakes. Dream life. So believable.

Those snaps were so fake... that's why she had to use the filter with the squeaky voice that altered her face to a happy face, because otherwise we'd be able to see she's not actually beaming and happy. She could've just said those things without a filter.

Yeah apparently it's "funny" that people worry about Boss - even though Ken himself has said Boss is permanently confined to the yard. Okay then.

Just to be sure there is a record of this Twitter mess, because she'll no doubt delete most of it at some point...

- First she started arguing back about Boss
- Then she started picking a fight with someone who expressed concern that she was sitting in the sun with Layla
- She then started arguing with people who told her to calm down

She could've, of course, just said "I know, I promise I'm careful, this was just a couple of minutes". But nope. Gotta argue. Because she's so happy.

Yeah her level of pettiness in responding really shows how miserable she is. The truth is, if she knew Boss was well taken care of, she would say "You know what guys, I really appreciate that you care that much about my dog - but I am taking great care of him, I promise. And because I have nothing to hide and I appreciate you standing up for his well being, I'll film more of him getting the attention he needs."

It's THAT simple to show that there is nothing to worry about. It's not hard. She makes it look like being aggressive and posting "fake proof" is the only possible way to shut "haters" up. It's not.

Just like if she was mentally okay, she would be able to say "Ugh, all this well meant baby advice - guys I promise I'm being careful, and it hurts my ego a little when you doubt that, but there is no need to worry about Layla". There is literally no reason to become overly defensive about something you're NOT doing wrong.

Seeing the aftermath on twitter now is painful. The arguably most ironic is her tweet saying 'this isn't care! It's vilification!' and the tweet she's quoting is 'currently unavailable'.
