Power 90 Sweat 1-2...pretty low intensity but appropriate since I've only recently started working out again.

Re: Workouts you did today
I'm so proud of myself today because I spent 45 minutes on the elliptical after months of not working out. I set the mode to "cardio" so I know I got a good workout.

Hi Tinysea,
Great threat and not only helps in getting new ways for workouts but also motivate us to stick with our fitness plans. As today is Tuesday so in the morning I ran 5 miles and in gym worked out on legs, back and biceps. I have been doing exercising regularly to lead healthy and active lifestyle.

Re: Workouts you did today
I used to run a lot and I've just started again a week ago! I'm feeling so good, I forgot how much I love it and how good it makes me feel about myself. Of course I've had to start slow! Starting with just one mile. Today I'm going to run for 30 min. which should equal up to 3 miles for me.
Re: Workouts you did today
I have done 30 shred, level 2, day 3. Love Jillian! And some thigh workout.
Tomorrow I'm into 6km walking, 30 shred and some cardio. And school

Re: Workouts you did today
55 minutes on the treadmill! (I'll break it down)
first 35 minutes: 3 minute walk on 3.5 w/ 10% incline, 1.5 minute run on 7mph w/ 4% incline, 30 second sprint on 8.5 w/4% incline and I repeated that 7 times.
10 minutes: walked at 3.5 mph with 10% incline.
last 10 minutes: cool down! walked at 3 mph with 4% incline
then I did a few blogilates videos (Call me maybe squats, what makes you bootiful, gentleman workout, and food baby)
then I did 100 crunches and did a quick 5 minute arm workout.
I burned 500 calories today! I feel great!

Re: Workouts you did today
I've been walking everyday since Tuesday down some trails behind my house from 5:20/5:30-6:00/6:10 and as of yesterday I had lost 1 pound and six ounces!
I'm trying to tone first. And it's really hard because I don't like sweating because it brings out my miliaria profunda.

Re: Workouts you did today
Took me a while to find this thread again for some reason.
In the mornings I do yoga and I usually warm up with 10-20 minutes of rope jumping. I love my rope but I think I'm a little bored with it and plus I wanted an option that didn't necessarily require a bra lol. Someone on another forum suggested a weighted hula hoop so I got one. I've been using it for over a week and I like it so far. It gets my heart pumping a little and warms my muscles and joints up for yoga just fine. It seems like it might be working my abs and back a little too. Always a plus. I think I'll save the rope for the days I work out in the evening and my focus is more on cardio.
It would probably be a better use of my money if I used it for more than just morning warm ups.I found some arm exercises I want to try with it. Does anybody know of any really good leg exercises with a weighted hoop? I didn't even know these existed until this month, lol.

I am most likely not going to be returning to the forum in the future! But I would like to thank all of you for the advise, humor, and support I have received during my years of participation here. This place doesn't deserve the hate it gets!
Re: Workouts you did today
What exactly do you do with your weighted hoop now? I have one, and I hate it! It beats me up soooo bad, and I have a belly button piercing that hates it too! I don't know of any leg exercises though.

Re: Workouts you did today
-30 minutes running on the treadmill
-20 minutes on the elliptical (That kicked my ass today!)
-20 leg presses pushing 145 pounds
-20 arm exercises
I do that about everyday. I wanna run more, but I don't have much time at the Gym since I go pretty late, so I try to break it down so I can do more things and work my body more. Usually when I come home I'll do sit ups on my exercise ball or jump rope.

Re: Workouts you did today
I mostly just use it around the waist/hips like we did when we were kids lol. I also did the wide arm circles today. Those seemed like they worked my shoulders and chest more than my actual arms, but I guess that's ok. There is another exercise where you rotate the hoop around closed hands with your arms straight above your head. I tried that for about a minute before I realized it was just hurting my sockets.kittykat wrote:What exactly do you do with your weighted hoop now? I have one, and I hate it! I heard stories of people getting bruises on their hip bone if they use a heavier hoop. I've only got a 2.5 pounder so I haven't had that trouble yet. I guess you could take out the piercing and wear thicker clothes when you use it. Something with more padding.

Re: Workouts you did today
I know this is a very late post on this topic but...
Damn! Reading all the posts here makes me feel super unfit. Does eating count as a workout (facial muscles!)? Hahaha
