So, I kinda liked his "Story of My Life" cover with Joey. But Joey's voice was awful...the dancing was beautifully done by that girl. And Luke's voice wasn't that bad. Liked the concept of it.

The thing is, Whitney just probably stopped watching Luke's videos throughout his relationship with Ingrid. Because if she did watch them, those issues would have been pretty clear and she would've known better.

The song continues with metaphors about missing your other half.

Overall I actually really like the song. It has a good beat and his vocals sound decent. But that is how I Interpreted the song, I'd love to hear how other people felt.

It was never said, but we assumed it was her that broke it off considering she moved on so fast

it was never brought out why they broke up but my best guess is that Ingrid wanted something more serious and either realized luke wasn't the one for her and/or he wasn't really to step up their relationship. If I were ingrid, him moving into a new frat house would have been the last straw for me.

He never was a "thing" in comparison to his other friends but he really isn't now.

Considering how domesticated and wife like Ingrid has become with Chris, I suspect she broke it off with Luke. Things started changing after she went to Fleur's wedding. I think suddenly she realized she really wants a husband and Fleur's fairy tale life (big wedding, doting husband). By then she had been with Luke for like two years and he had shown no signs of proposing...so, around that time Ingrid meets Chris, super professional and all that jazz, around the age most guys want a wife. Boom. The rest is history.

Ingrid was already dating Chris when she went to Fleurs wedding. Fleur got married in August. Luke and Ingrid broke up in March or April.

I'm guessing they've always wanted different things and she finally wised up that she wasn't going to be able to change him.

Which is good because you should never invest in a relationship where you tell yourself maybe he/she will change.

Yeah it is pretty obvious now that Ingrid broke up with Luke. Good on her too!

I actually believe things were already south in their relationship during the Bahama trip, 10 months ago.

I think Ingrid already had met Chris, and they kind of flirted and Ingrid realized things with Luke just weren't going anywhere. It was right after the Bahama trip that they broke off, and I think it was Ingrid who did it. That's not to say Luke didn't do something to push Ingrid towards Chris, but it's clear Ingrid already had her eye on him.

This is a pretty nice effort from Luke, with Alyssa Poppin singing with him. I like it when he sings ballads more than his dancy numbers.
