Sony Vegas Pro is honestly not that hard to use, there are a million tutorials on youtube, and you can get REALLY cool effects/transitions/colorings out of it. It's kind of expensive if I remember correctly but you can use it for years with amazing results

If you have a creative cloud subscription then you can download Adobe Premiere Pro for free. That one is good for a lot of effects/colorings as well but it is more limiting than Sony Vegas Pro for sure.
