50 Shades of Grey

This overly dramatic trailer coupled with the cheesy made me lol because of too much second hand embarrassment

Watching the trailer I feel much better about the actress they chose to be Anastasia, but I'm still not too fond of the guy they chose to be Mr. Grey (I always envisioned Matt Bomer but I guess not wanting to be part of such an anticipated porno is understandable :D ).

IDK, I kind of liked and disliked the trailer? It made me look more forward to watch the film even tho I previously decided not to go watch it. However, the trailer did seem to make the story seem serious and like it's some sort of thriller. Obviously if you've read the book you know it's not the really what the trailer made it to be.

All in all, I'm looking quite forward to watching it now haha. Guess I'll watch it after all with my friends for a laugh.

(Also lol at the trailer ending with Ana having an orgasm hahaha)

I'm really disappointed with who they chose to play Christian... Charlie Hunnam would have been 1000x better. This guy looks way too clean cut, and not how I pictured Christian AT ALL.

Definitely looking forward to seeing the movie though.

I'm going to watch this when it's eventually out on Netflix with a bottle of merry wine and laugh my head off as I did with the Twilight Series.

All I could think of while watching the trailer is Twilight, Bella and Edward doing those things lol

maybe i'm in the minority, but Jamie Dorman is pretty close to how I pictured christian in the books.

The trailer was meh, i liked some parts of it, some parts were just ugh no. And I definitely pictured Edward and Bella. When I read the books, I got a little bit of the twilight fanfiction vibe, but the movie seems to be a little too similar to twilight.

also, from what I've heard of Crazy in Love, i like it. Although, i'm a beyonce stan, so I'm biased.

This movie looks rather dreadful. Plus the Valentine's Day release date. I will wait for Netflix.

I'll go see this movie if the people I'm going with are fine with me making fun of it.
I should read the book to see if its worth the hype
But loving that new version Crazy In Love!

No! I won’t watch it. I read all three books in the hope that it would somehow get better and end with Ana kicking him in the testicles and marching off on a girls’ holiday to Ibiza – he’s a maniputlative obsessive control freak who basically just latches on to her because she’s innocent and sweet and the fact that this is being released on Valentine’s Day sickens me. All joking aside, this isn’t a normal relationship and this type of dynamic shouldn’t be encouraged or romanticised. Why Valentine’s Day? Is it being marketed as a bit of a porny thing for couples complete with lots of stupid merchandise involving masks and crops, or is it aimed towards single women to get them into the mindset that they need to go out and find their very own abusive bastard? Sorry for getting so GRR but this really, really infuriates me. It’s a horrible, horrible franchise. Anyway – Jamie Dornan, please throw away your razors. Clean shaven is NOT your thing.

I chuckled so much at the Valentine's Day release day. I read the first book half way through Ana annoyed me on the level like the chick in Twilight. When I saw the trailer I got even more annoyed because Ana was not what I pictured, or perhaps she is exactly as I pictured but I expected better than my imagination. Oh lawd, that made no sense. Grey looks exactly as I pictured though. I was excited about the possibility of Charlie doing it but come on he just didn't fit the role even though umpf that body needs to be naked and on the big screen!

I get what your saying, but there are unique markets/audiences out there. For example there's an anime called "diabolik lovers" where a human girl is trapped in a mansion with 5 male vampires who rape and torture her. Most people are disgusted with it but other girls love it because it's their fantasy. Also just because people fantasise about it doesn't mean that if it happened in real life they would actually tolerate it.

It's really not a good idea to have women watch that film at the cinema, I hope they clean the chairs thoroughly after the movies finished.

And I was expecting Christian to be a bit more dirty/grubby. He's too clean.

Give a guy a nicely tailored suit and he's an instant lady thriller. He's just as basic as Ana tbh. I'll watch it, but with drinks and a guy friend that will make fun of it with me. I'll have to get something strong to get through Ana's 'inner goddess' monologues though. I'd rather have my brain cells killed by alcohol.

The only thing about that saved that trailer is the slow version of crazy in love. I wonder what will it take to save the whole movie :? no hope I guess. Netflix all the way baby.

Creepy pseudo porn. Don't like the actress, like the actor but not in this. I hope it fails miserably. The trailer alone is cringe worthy. Who wants to be uncomfortable for 90 minutes?

Well some people *cough*me*cough* are actually into S&M so they most certaintly won't feel uncomfortable. I don't get the complaining... If that's not your cup of tea then don't watch the movie. It's pretty simple.

Excellent point, except this is not an accurate representation (their relationship is not sane, safe and is barely consensual)
