As far as I'm concerned. A gamer is that person. Who plays games very often. Personally, I only play one game. And I only play Frostpunk. Because I got it at a discount. A gamer is also a profession. Participating in various competitions.

Unfortunately, I don't have time to play games. I used to play a lot of Dota 2. There was always a lot of aggression. It makes me laugh when people get nervous about a game.

You're wasting hours on any hobby unless you get a product out of it at the end, like for example reading this forum. I love gaming and I'm always down to support new indie creations. As a teen/young adult I was definitely obsessed and played about every AAA action title. But shooters just bore me now, like if I feel the itch for them I'd rather go back to San Andreas than upgrade my hardware for a single title. My Switch suffices for my entertainment, I usually play when I watch TV anyway. But I don't think it's bad to "waste your time", my time is mine and I consume entertainment in all forms for stimulation.
