Some users have mentioned the idea of having a password protected/locked thread on here, like other forums have. The reason behind it would be because we know that T-beg (and some fishies) lurk here, and occasionally users have things to share that they would rather she did not see. Users would have to ask for a password to be granted permission to access the locked board - we would have to discuss specifics but I believe it's usually a case of a user having to have 50-100+ posts in order to get in.
We know that opinions are mixed here, so we're going to put it out to you guys. Would you like a locked Trisha thread?
Please cast your votes - poll closes in a week. Also, if you have any comments about it, such as how many posts you think a person should have etc then we'd love to hear them.
Poll: Should we have a private/locked thread?

Re: Poll: Should we have a private/locked thread?
I think with the whole situation it would be the best to have a locked thread HOWEVER!!!
After the topic is discussed and maybe an Issue has been solved (e.g saving certain things so we can still have excess even if Trisha deleted them) it should be made public asap.
And that really only topics where it would CHANGE a lot if it was discussed before should be posted there.
I think the main issue is that everyone wants be involved and it's completely normal, so everything that is going on there
a) should be posted asap in the main
b) has to be something where it makes SENSE that it's kept private
c) no teasing in a way where people start to beg because NEW HOT GOSSIP OMFG was mentioned
Hope that makes sense x.x

Voted no. If bitchface wants to complain about shit she made public, too bad for her.

Re: Poll: Should we have a private/locked thread?
I have had a few people PM me about the "hot gossip" I gave very general information. But I feel like a locked thread would allow us to talk about certain "evidence" that is found, share the links and then get what we need saved. This would alleviate a lot of the PM's especially with the site being a bit glitchy. Just my 2 cents.
Re: Poll: Should we have a private/locked thread?
Before I vote yes, I want to see actual guidelines on how this will work. 50-100 posts is not going to work. It is easy to build that many posts up if you are a fishie or even trish by posting in other threads on this forum. Fact of the matter is, under those guidelines, you are still going to have suspicious lurkers IMO. Unless this is literally a thread for 'The Club' where you only allow people you actually know to have the password - and in that case, its a No from me :/
OT: we really need to sort these server issues out. Who can we talk to about setting up a donation fund to invest in a bigger/better server?

Re: Poll: Should we have a private/locked thread?
I know it might seem a bit over my head since I haven't been on the site for a long time.. but is there really stuff that needs to be held extra-super secret without being dealt with in PM's? I understand that people want to keep some stuff hidden from TP and the Fishies, but there's always the threat of a Fishie getting the password and passing on the info. At the end of the day, is there really anything being discussed that Trisha absolutely CAN NOT see? I really don't think it's that serious.
I don't mean to come off as salty or anything like that, but this private thread/PM thing has spun out of control within the past couple of days and I figured I'd throw in my two cents. I really like the community here and you guys are all so welcoming and cool! I'm just afraid that this issue is separating long-time posters and newer members and I'd really like to keep that connection!

Re: Poll: Should we have a private/locked thread?
I don't understand the point of a locked thread. Just use pm's if you need people to save certain things I don't understand how it's thread worthy. It makes it annoying for people who just come here for the occasional gossip and don't interact with others so we won't be included in the gossip even though we aren't even newbies (like myself) because realistically we won't be invited into the thread. It makes it more like us vs. them which turns away newbies who can get really good gossip on Trisha and they might not want to contribute to this site if they hate everyone (Certain members make me want to turn away from this site). Remember the girl who just signed on to show that her realtor probably dated Sean? It does happen so let's not turn newbies away they can be useful (more useful than most older users who just come on to call Trisha a land whale and that's it).
Then again I wasn't included in the pm so I don't know how Trisha knowing could ruin certain things. I can't think of any scenario in which that would be the case maybe I'm wrong... Anyways saving videos and pics are pm worthy and gossip should be discussed in the public forum that's all (IMO).

Re: Poll: Should we have a private/locked thread?
I voted no just because I'm fairly new here (even though I have been lurking for over a year) and I know I probably would not be granted access to this new thread. However, I do understand why it would be a good idea - I know Mama Fish and her little fishies read here and it would be nice to have a place to talk that they don't have access to. Then again, I would hate to be on the main thread and read posts from the "insiders" hyping about some super secret stuff that they're talking about on the other thread. I just don't like the idea of dividing us GGers into "cool kids" and the "newbies". This is not high school
But if you can come up with a way to give the password to all users who are not Trisha nor her fishies, I'm all for it I guess I'm just having a hard time imagining what kind of secret information people have that cannot be seen by Trash. I mean what is she gonna do with it? I thought posting super personal info on Youtubers was against the rules anyways

Re: Poll: Should we have a private/locked thread?
Hi all! I've been lurking for a very long time, however, registered when I could no longer view threads as a guest I really understand the need to keep some info from Trash & her fishies, as we don't want her to go & delete it before something can be done with it I don't like the idea of a private forum though... Maybe when a member here finds something juicy on Trash, they could just PM certain members that they trust for the help needed in saving & researching certain tidbits This could avoid the regular board from going off topic re: wanting PM's for the secrets. I really want to know what is developing, especially if it's trouble for Trasha, but I'm definitely willing to wait until all the research, saving of vids, etc. is done so that she gets exactly what she deserves...

Re: Poll: Should we have a private/locked thread?
I voted Yes, although that still depends on the actual rules of the thread.
It needs to be specifically tied to discussing super secret, not ready to leak information and NOTHING MORE.
We all know that some people would use such a thread as a super exclusive 'lounge' of sorts and just abandon the normal threads.
We don't need segregation here.

I'd like to add, that with another private thread, the users would need to have 3 stars, or be vouched for by another approved gg'r. So for the people who feel like they wouldn't be included in the private thread, you could have someone vouch for you.

Re: Poll: Should we have a private/locked thread?
I'm a lurker and only joined because I couldn't read without registering. What is the point of coming here to read gossip if you can't get into the thread? Makes no sense to me. What in the world could be so "Top Secret" that you need a password protected thread? Sounds a little over dramatic to be honest.

Re: Poll: Should we have a private/locked thread?
Seems dumb to not include people in gossip on a gossip site, IMO. Plus, if any of her fans wanted to, they'd have no trouble getting the password. It seems redundant and just a way for the more prominent members to feel like they're more important than everyone else.

Re: Poll: Should we have a private/locked thread?
i say no, honestly our thread well trishas lool moves SOO quick which is good bc it means we have things to say, meanwhile for the ppl who do have locked threads ive noticed in the public one which used to go quick is extremely slow, and i dont want that to happen. I used to lurk a long time ago and trishas thread was slow it finally just got good we dont need a locked one

Re: Poll: Should we have a private/locked thread?
As someone who has very little post just simply because I am bad at voicing myself via posting and because honestly I don't think I have anything to contribute - I would like a secret thread just for the really intense stuff simply because people then exclude others through the PM system and it defeats the point of gossiping but if the secret thread becomes similar to those PMs and those who have no posts simply because they like to read rather than talk then I dunno if I'm for it...
(i would like to say I did vote for the Yes-Super Secret stuff only thing simply because I'd really hope that we could all of the secret dirt out there however reading through the things in this thread... I agree it all depends on how its constructed!)

Re: Poll: Should we have a private/locked thread?
I voted no. If a member feels the need to talk about "super secret stuff" regarding Trisha, they should just take it to DM
Besides, even if a private thread happened, people are gonna start begging to get in and it will disrupt the original thread

Re: Poll: Should we have a private/locked thread?
I've literally been on GG since the OLD GG, like 2012 before the 'er' haha, but I look like a newb. I just remade this account..again... because I can never get my crap reset. I never post because I'm never ever caught up for one thing. I used to post often.
There are fishies with a lot of posts, it's one reason I get mad reading here now, so good luck keeping them out of the loop and trying their hardest to get info for their mom.
There would be too much secret shit and surely someone would make a mistake and post something in public.
she loses fans daily and there's always going to be newbs, you'll have them (and not so newbie) asking how to get in it.
Soy many reasons I see this not to be bougie
