Tiny House Living

Post by IHateCilantro »

There are too many channels on Tiny House Living to focus on just one, but what are you alls impression on them?

They go from a big house to a skoolbus with wonky A/C and small bunks and wonky hot water.
I saw one Skoolie which wasnt parked correctly and was at a constant lean so ppl had to walk
on an angle and I thought the kids would roll out of their bunk.

I enjoy the romanticism of it all but most of these people cant seem to figure out how to make their tiny homes fully functional.
Most cannot use the A/C year round and not at all when "Boondocking", some have done without freezers and some dont even have
functioning showers and/or toilets. With 4 kids, I wonder what that tiny house smells like?

Hi

I'm subscribed to 2 tiny home channels:
1. https://www.youtube.com/c/TinyHouseGiantJourney/videos
2. https://www.youtube.com/c/TinyHomeTours/videos

I come from a architectural background and I have less interests in the finished design/decor, but more in the overall use of space and the floorplans.
I don't care about campervans so I usually skip those sort of videos.

I'm usually a bit perplexed about a few things:
- Most of these tiny homes have a massive oversized kitchen in relation to the overall size of the house.
- Ladders instead of stairs. Good look using that half asleep at 2am when nature calls.
- No headroom above the loft bed. Cute and cosy to look at, until you bash your head the first time when you wake up, or when you get baked in the summer.
