YouTubers Who Didn't Finish/Go to College

I feel like I would still go to college, even if I was a Youtube. I mean you have to be a bit realistic.

Also, with making so much money, college would actually be affordable for YTers. Of course the people with that sort of opportunity wouldn't take advantage of it, though.

Degrees aren't all they are craked up to be. Only if you are doing something highly specialised and in demand it is worth it. All those people who are doing generic degrees really struggle to find work and relevant work at that.

Yeah I agree ^. I really am enjoying college, but I can't say that I wouldn't entertain the idea of dropping out if I was a big YouTuber. If I was gaining a large income because of it, I would probably try to invest wisely and save money if I withdrew from university. Plus I'd try to venture into other things like macbarbie07 and Philip Defranco. I mean if I was in my last year then I'd finish, otherwise maybe not.

It's not only about a degree, it's also about knowledge and accomplishment.

But you can always go back. My granny got her degree at age of 50.
I think that you should want to go uni, not because you have to because thanks to that you make lot of money.
I am in uni right now and I like it. I like mathematics so I want to get degree too and also mastersvand matbe even higher. Because I like it. But if I am youtuber and have opportunities to travel the world, meet loads of people and go different events, I probably stop uni for few yeas, til I have time to go again.
But most of youtubers sit at home, do nothing amd do not even bother thinking about the future. That is stupid. But if you are like Tyler Oakley, who always travels, i think its okay.

Its like winning lottery. If you win millions, do you bother going to uni/finish it?

if they didn't know what they wanted to do and were doing youtube and enjoying it I can understand putting off Youtube, like Jacksgap did. But then I would probably go back once Youtube dies down and they have all that money saved up. Plus their collage applications would probably look pretty great with youtube and a lot of them have done stuff outside of youtube they could put a lot of great experiences on their applications especially going into media or something.

Well I know Luke Conard did earn his Bachelors in Business Administration. He claimed to have lasted about 6 months at a "corporate" job before it got to be too much for him and he quit and got that job as a river guide at Grand Teton National Park. I think he hopped around from Iowa, to Oregon before finally moving to L.A. with Jason Munday (who me met at college). I think Jason also earned his Bachelors (not sure in what), along with their friend Ryan Seiler who I think also went to Iowa State.

His family didn't have to pay for his school. There's scholarships and loans, especially when you come from low income families.

I think Shane had to work to help his family out though. He's said before they were pretty poor, and it feels like he's been doing everything he can to help his mom and brothers out of poverty.

You can still work while taking classes. He could have been a part time student and full time employee even.

Well it's also entirely possible that Shane just didn't want to go to college. Seeing as he's made a success of himself without college, I don't see what's so wrong with that.
