Glad there's a thread for Brandon, there's a lot of YouTube "news"/tea channels making videos about him so there's a potential for this story to blow up... And if someone did actually report them to the authorities, Brandon could go to jail for statutory rape (please correct me if I'm wrong).

Also, I think it's super messed up that Lacy made a Bumble account before she was 18. I had a Bumble and to be "verified" you literally just have to send a selfie of yourself doing a thumbs up or something. There's really not a lot of regulations for online dating, and it can be extremely dangerous and for underage girls/boys, but there's really not a lot to stop them unfortunately Especially since there's no real way to verify ages! It also sucks that there are grown adults who actively look for 18-year-olds to date. Age limits on dating apps are also a weird concept, because you could be in your 50's and have an age range of 18-25.

In my own opinion, I think it's weird when mid-20 year olds try to date teenagers. And I get that every case is difference, but for the MOST part, teenagers do NOT have the same maturity levels compared to a 20 year old.

I personally think the whole Lacy/Brandon situation is super weird. I'm assuming Lacy thinks she's more mature than most people her age, but compared to Brandon I highly doubt she's had the same adult experiences as him (not pertaining to sex or anything, but actual adult things). I'm literally 21, turning 22 this year, and I don't even think I can relate to a 25 year old...

As for Brandon, I think a lot of people were right when they said (ex)Viner's have a weird teenager mentality. Like I think Brandon (and a lot of the VS members) still think they're relatable to teenagers because of who their audience is and the crazy "childish" things they're always doing. But, I don't think any real teenagers can relate to them.

I think is weird too and specially looking a vlogs where he talks about being single for so long. I wonder why he was single for so long and then finally settled for a teen.
He is totally grooming her the way she looked at him during the video was very sad.
From the 9 minutes podcast he sounds so creepy. Smoking weed with her and having sex. She is telling him that she is into another guy and wants to pursue him and then he starts crying.
Lacey says that after she turned 18 they were in a loving relationship but that’s a lie. On that podcast which was published in April he says that he made out with another girl and she says she also made out with another guy. It sounds like it was just casual sex for like 3 months and after he started crying over losing her they actually started dating. He is so manipulative

Well I think is important a lot of youtubers are taking advantage of their young fans. They have in the past too and it has caused their young fans a lot of trauma. The thing is that they lied and people love exposing liars.

i meant that people were reporting users who posted about brandon in the VS forum, to the extent that a mod had to make a separate brandon thread. i have never considered reporting on-topic discussion just because i didn’t like it- it seems childish to me

Yeah they should have made a vlog squad forum because I know the other one is for David. David shares so little of his life that his forum became the vlog squad forum.
Brandon has a lot to do with the vlog squad and David lol that’s why he is in this mess because he was in that vlog. Otherwise there wouldn’t be a way to prove that Trisha was right.
But yeah I don’t like reporting I just scroll down.

It's just super odd that we could talk about every VS member in the VS squad thread but not Brandon. Like what? He is not even that famous or talk worthy beside the dating underage thing, he just has been a part of a bigger controversy than most the VS ones right now, so of course people wanted to talk about it and it would eventually die out of its own. But it wasn't even 6 hours that the last Brandon was out and people was complaining 'can we talk of something else...'. I felt creating a new thread was just a way to make people shut up. In the Ace Family thread we talk about the little girl licking the dick lollipop for days, same thing for other threads.

Chances of him being prosecuted for stat rape are very low. They’d have to prove that they had sex while she was under 18 and without her testimony that’s unlikely. Even the video of her saying he is good in bed or their texts or whatever aren’t really sufficient evidence because she could have been making it up. While the age of consent in California is 18 many stat rape cases involving someone who is 17 are not prosecuted, and even fewer ones that come to light after the person has turned 18. Imo the only consequences he will face are the damages to his reputation. Or, if he is investigated, the more real legal ramifications will be if he has any explicit images or videos of her from when she was a minor as child porn is taken more seriously.

I think the best they could have done is to insist that they are both over 18 right now and have a good relationship, keep lying was just add fuel in the fire rather then help. There is also a difference in lying then not telling the truth, maybe they would have been scare to be more honest, but their "truth" (the irony of this) video was just bad.

Same, when I was 16 one of my older brother's friends started to take an interest in me while he was 23 and then around the time i was 17 we had sex and had an off and on thing for about a year but we "talked" from ages 16 to 19 and now i find it so creepy!!! I was practically a child and when I confronted him about it he just kept saying that I didn't look my age because I was more "developed" but admitted that my mentality was really childish and immature. At the time I thought I was so mature and grown up but even then I could tell him and I were not on the same page and especially now I know he was just taking advantage of me.

their "explanation video" was just awful. Not taking responsibility for any of it. Lacey LIED on her DATING APP (we're not idiots, Bumble is not just an app to hang out and chat with people, which is what she said lol). They're just panicked and trying to cover everything up. Why would Brandon want to be with a girl that lied to him like that anyways - if we're choosing to believe their version, that is. They are both sickingly arrogant and condescending in the vid and its painfully obvious that they're just upset they got caught in this shitstorm. Brandon ruined his reputation. He took advantage of an underage girl who doesn't have the life experience that simply comes with age. He's 24! I'm not even 24 yet and I would never even look at a 17-going-on-18-year-old boy like that. That's the age of a senior in high school. 24 is 2 years out of university. It's fucked.
