Re: Dina Tokio
i really liked her videos until earlier this year when she started putting on an american accent and changing her voice all the time. also her fashion/makeup choices have gotten a lot more... out there since she first started making videos.
needless though say, she's always been gorgeous. i think she looked amazing when she used to dress a bit more girly:

is there any way the that the mods can move this back to the trash a guru section? LOL, thanksss.

Re: Dina Tokio
Watching this girl since she started ( 6 years now ) looks like she is only progressing in her private life in terms of got married
However her professional life and style lacks , both are rather regressing
She needs to do something with her , girl u won't make living selling vintage clothes and scarves online!
Her collection is awaited for so many years now, I give up with her
She needs to also improve contents of her videos
Anyway we should start post trash guru coz at the moment she needs lots of improvement or rather quit the YouTube and do some decent carrier not working in tesco call centre like she used to before !

Re: Dina Tokio
Did she really work in a call centre? Apparently she gets her stock from Egypt.
Saw her hubbie on the show wrapping the scarves btw.

Re: Dina Tokio
despite being interested to see about the islamic beauty pageant, I only managed to watch no more than ten minutes before having to turn it off out of sheer loathing at the self absorption of Dina.
Moaning and bitching every 5 minutes, shameless plugs for her clothing line, more bitching and moaning.. I'm not able for this at all. She's just so arrogant, bad decision of BBC to give her a documentary slot.

Re: Dina Tokio
I find the comments on her videos amusing. when you put clothing restrictions in your religion, it tends to be something people focus on.

Thanks for sharing. Can't believe she asked someone to translate to orphans and ask "what does your daddy do?" just to see if they're undercover judges (competition is based on 100 orphan votes) the competition is messed up yes but that's so insensitive.vanillablue wrote:She was on this documentary http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... ant-and-me

Re: Dina Tokio
I honestly don't get Dina sometimes. Like I think in her recent fav's videos she was showing stuff she's been using for ages apparently and thats been repurchased quite a bit (mac, benefit etc) like 5-7 years or so and I''m like are you kidding me? I used to watch her videos religiously when she started out and she used to use rimmel foundation, illamasqua later on, alot of collection 2000, even the george brand made by ASDA/Walmart...she used to be very casual with makeup....and often used her sisters 'expensive' stuff apart from one mac lipstick I saw... she even said she'd purchase mac etc once she got married and thats what exactly happened about a year ago so no way has she been repurchasing the stuff for 5-7 years or whatever....
She talks about 14-15 year old knowing more about makeup she did at that age well hello she is a role model?! teens do look up to her ..they are going to be copying what she buys. Is she really that naive?
In the documentary I didnt get her when the indonesian girls etc were dancing and singing and she was like n we don't do that in England as part of my faith questioning herself....but at her cousins wedding I remember she wanted to dance and sing she was up for it but it was only that her husband wouldn't let her...dont get it really...aia used to remember her singing in her older videos...not sure why she was so conscious where there were men on the bus in indonesia yet there are men watching her videos...
the bit I found cringe was when she saw her husband when he came to Indonesia touching his chest and was like 'Ohh I missed these' ... and also the swearing here and there...she'd probably say ohh well thats me I'm not perfect...

Re: Dina Tokio
Ok so I still like Dina but I feel her attitude is a bit shitty sometimes. she doesn't seem to appreciate her fans dont know if thats just me. But the way her and sid talk is just like they think the fans are a bunch of fangirling goons

Re: Dina Tokio
Love Dina.
You don't get any other Muslim youtubers like her, shes unique, funny and just out there with her style. Congrats on her new baby too! Nothing to trash about her.

Re: Dina Tokio
I love her main channel videos... but the ones on her vlog channel where she answers questions with sid seem very off.
First off.. she always looks very put together in her main channel videos.. but in the Q&A ones she is always very plain. Then she and sid always interrupt each other and keep repeating the same stuff for 20 minutes. I feel like these videos would be much more informative if they read the question before the video, write some ideas on a piece of paper.. and try to go from there.
example:
The video where the guy hit the girl they could have said
1. It is never ok to hit a woman
2. they could talk a bit about why people think muslim men hit their wives
3. is there any case in which it might be acceptable or forgivable for a man to hit a woman
4. what should you do if boyfriend/ husband /etc hits you - in both middle eastern country and western country
And that could have been a 10-15 minute video with much more information.
They could keep the concept where Sid tells his point of view and Dina hers.. but i don't know... just a bit more structured
