I saw her dutch law school vlogs back in early 2017 and at first I was amazed at how a good multiplayer she was. What I saw first was her 2015-2016 videos. As a person with a Master’s degree in Political Science, I thought she was a nice woman who got her shit together. She made me feel like I wanted to go back to old uni days and do some fashion stuff and ace them all at the same time lol.
But as time went by, her vanity and ego grew bigger and bigger. Her response on her comment sections also became too sour and condescending. So by the time I subscribed(early 17’) she had already become arrogant(at first I thought she was quite confident about herself). And now? She never interacts with her subscribers except for chastising people for ‘misunderstanding’ her; all she does is “Aww thank you lovely!” to some of the initial compliments on her looks and to me her response sounds like she’s talking to a puppy she’s touching.
By the time of the late 2017, I started to feel she kept contradicting herself. Her accounts, her replies, and her claims on her videos started to look like a big lie and I started to dig her old posts to crosscheck her integrity. I can’t say all of her lifestyle and claims are big lies. But she definitely has been exaggerating her hardships, looks(lol), success, and her achievement too much in order to get constant compliments from everyone.
Anyways, so far I’ve found some of her exaggeration and AMBIGUITY and since I’ve always wanted to write something about her in this forum, I’ll write down some of what I’ve found strange.
1. Her degree - I’ve been thinking a lot about her degrees. Does she have three different degrees(B.A. in Philosophy, B.A. in Law, M.A. in Law)? I don’t think so. She had started her first Philosophy BA in 2016(her law school vlog #19, Sep 16’). She started her exchange program, as an extension of her Research Master in Law in September 2017. So naturally she can’t be a graduate with a degree in philosophy. Her linkedIn page says she has three degrees ad her BA in philosophy(2016-2017) is there. But 2016-2017(spring semester)? That a too short time span to get all the credits for a degree.. I don’t know dutch educational system very well, I might be wrong about it. But what I’ve always found strange is her instagram profile, her statement on her degree changes all the time. Sometimes it implies she has three degrees, sometimes she has one BA and one MA(Washington), etc etc..
2. Her various ‘skills and experience’ - Figure skating? Meh(there are yt vids of her figure skating). Fashion? A big NO. Makeup? Too thick. Her punctuality? Never exists.
3. Her claims that “she was never planning to be a lawyer” - I attached a quotation mark because she said just like that in one of her recent replies. But that’s not true. In her Law School Vlog #21, 8:10, she said she had always wanted to become a criminal defense lawyer.
4. Her announcements on her achievements - See, this is what make people leave questions in her comment sections. Let’s think about her announcement of last year’s Sephora ‘Campaign’. At first I thought she got a big contract on a nationwide/onlinewide ‘campaign ad’. But it turns out to be just one post of her IG(12 Dec, 18’). LOL. Her Miss Independent Magazine? It just ended quietly. Her eBook? Still on TBA status(she said she was going to publish the book SOON last year.. But when?). Her US Entrepreneurship Visa? Her announcement of founding a social media counsulting company on US to be an entrepreneur? She hasn’t done anything as a consultant since then.. I’m pretty sure US goverment thought that company as a ‘shell company’ that had been registered to get her visa.
5. Her stationery business - At first I was amazed at her skills as a designer.. But major parts of graphic designs of her stationeries were done by her mother(or it might be other ppl in her mother’s company). I had read her replies and she said(only a couple time did she reply to that kind of questions) she got helps from other ppl and she got base ‘inspirations’ so therefore she’s a head of the operation(it’s true); it’s not a bad thing to outsource some skills that you’re not good at, but in various yt vids she makes ppl think she’s done all of things by herself. People need to realize that she’s doing her business relying heavily on her mother’s company. Her inventories are stored conveniently in her mother’s company(DC Diaries #29, 27:05) - who has that kind of privilege naturally? She uses ‘we’ pronoun when she is dealing with (future) customer.. even before hiring her ‘intern’. The first version of her planner might be considered ‘plagiarism’, because that looked just like her old planner from HEMA(Law School Vlog #9 5:23).
6. Her life in DC - So I lost remaining faith in her after she moved into DC. She got an ad contract from the first housing company and she had been hiding for months. She works out only when she got sponsorships from health/gym companies. What she was doing on her vlogs looked ambiguous as a sense of dates(she never states what date each of videos was filmed) and remember what she said about her income? She even said most of her sponsorship money went into the rent. What is the lifestyle she’s living at the moment? Spending all her money into an aesthetic studio and buy designer pieces and an expensive phone and a camera from SOME money from one of her bank accounts? LOL. I think that’s why she never films a proper ‘finance’ video. Also, she got a 3-month extension on her initial VISA status(‘GOODBYE 2018 vlog, 6:00) and yet she didn’t do anything to get a job in her field. So no wonder why US Goverment rejected her visa application.. To them her integrity in the papers looked dubious and questionable, and that cannot be covered up as video editing skills and her thick makeup.
7. Piracy - In her early law school videos, she used torrents and illegal ‘streaming’ websites to watch movies and TV shows and you can see that in her various videos(ex. My Summer Night Time Routine in Aug 2016, 02:31, you can clearly see the Torrent program icon). Actually that had been the first question I had raised about her integrity. She was doing her law degrees and yet she was doing piracy which is a crime. She changed her subfield from criminal law to cyber crime and yet she used torrent websites. LOL. In the US, I think she stopped using those illegal websites and subscribed to Netflix, but In the Netherlands, she did commit a piracy crime with having the law degree.
I’m sorry if I wrote too long post on this thread, but I think you came here because of the same doubts I’ve had for a long time..
