What does Asian people have with this Eurasian thing? What is it all about and why do they are so fixing on this term?
Or is it just singapore? I always wonder about this. What is oh so fascinating by it?
I do not see it where I come from (Europe) I do not see, people say about themselfs: Oh I am mixed. My mother is this and my father this and my gran this.
What is it all about? Anyone can tell me?

To most of us (maybe to me only), we are ok with any races to be our lifetime partner.

As for XX, she totally hate being Asian. She is hundred percent Singaporean yet hate being Asian. It is like e girl who is a Singaporean and announced that she is not proud of being a Singaporean.

She hates black hair. Maybe because she thinks black not suitable for her(?). To me, it is how the person style her hair regardless of what is their hair colour.

He's not two and above, yet he looks like one of those annoying spoilt brat terrible 2s. I dunno if it's the XX in his face, but he really looks annoying. He doesn't have a cute crying face. He cries, he opens his mouth really wide. He makes that annoying face too when he's super happy. LIKE CLOSE IT, KID.

And in some way I pity him. He's spoilt (or going to be), and once he grows up he'll probably want nice things. But mummy and daddy can't afford those nice things. Mike seems frugal, hence all the positive comments on XX's sponsorships (he mentioned something like he enjoys it in an interview). XX is a cheap-ass person and expects sponsors all the time... if she splurges, it's only for herself.

If they are concern enough they will check it up about autism signs themselves n decide if they should bring him for a checkup. cause his spinning n obsession w fans. N his lack of eye contacts in So many pictures n mentions of him, scares me, its worrying. If my boy spins So much n So obsess w fans, I'll b worried too. But then, I'm a mom. But not dash 's mom. While fixations can be a sign of autism, it's hardly tell-tale; any respectable doctor would never diagnose a child as autistic for simply having a thing for colorful spinny toys. Typical "red flags" for autism woud be significant developmental and speech delays, yet Dash is one of the quickest learners I've ever seen. Also, Dash IS making eye contact... with the photographer, not the phone. He's not even 2 and you expect him to know to sit still and focus on a camera???

He is doing fine. I am sure his regular visits to pediatrician would flag out concerns if any. The thing I don't get is what's the harm in having Dash checked out? If a pediatrician finds nothing then great, but if there is something wrong with him, and it's not necessarily autism, the earlier he gets help the better.

I'm going to bet on superstition. These people are so assbackwards, they think that if they go get him checked out for any illness, that's "bad luck" and that they'll "curse" him with it. Also, XX is very cheap; she doesn't want to get him checked out because if he does have it, she'd have to spend money on specialists for him, sending him to special schools, etc., which means no more money to spend on having the helper, and she'd have to take on a more active role.

XX is a very petty and small creature, figuratively and literally.

God her minions are so stupid I can't stand it.

1) That's certainly not how all children should learn. Toddlers who develop well will usually be interested in a variety of things and won't compulsively and obsessively spin whatever object they can get their hands on.

2) Dash never seems to pay intention to any other human being. He is always "in his world", doing his own thing and shows no interest in other people. He certainly doesn't have good eye contact. When he's with XX, it's as if she doesn't exist. He won't acknowledge even her.

During the 8days photoshoot, they had to resort to the Ipad to to get any form of expression from him. As for his vacant expression watching the fan...erm well, I'm gonna let it speak for itself.

3) Able to do imaginary play? I've never seen him do such thing. Unless spinning counts? lol. Also, it's unclear whether Dash has bonded with any of his caregivers, and he most certainly hasn't bonded with his own mother. He refuses to be touched/held/cuddled, how is that being affectionate?

Now, people will say that we only see him in IG videos. That's a valid point, but we have remember one thing: Wendy only shows us the best/cutest/happiest parts of Dashiel, and we still can suspect he has an ASD. Can you imagine actually being with him all day?

I guess the thing that annoys me the most is that her followers see Dashiel as a genius/advanced/cuddly/cute baby that every toddler should aspire to be, WHEN HE'S CLEARLY NOT. Are they freaking blind? Anyways, Thanks GG for restoring my faith in the internet!

I can't speak for Singapore, but in the Philippines (my family is from there), the ones who are front and centre in the media are usually Eurasians. There is an automatic assumption that Eurasians equal beauty. I have Eurasian and Blasian cousins and you don't know how annoying it is to hear relatives extol the beauty of my Eurasian cousins. Nevermind the fact, people have stopped my Blasian cousins in their tracks and said they should model.

Oh, in the Philippines, they say that, too. They love the fair and pale-skinned Eurasians. However, I'm so used to hearing my relatives and most other Filipinos say Eurasians or Mestizas as they're referred to in PH as beautiful because they're mixed. I disagree with that mentality. Eurasians/Mestizas are not necessarily prettier than full Asians. They're pretty because they just are. It has nothing to do with their mixed heritage.

More Filipinos are now beginning to embrace the looks of their darker-skinned brethren, but it's more than that. The Philippine media is still sending a mixed message when they put the Eurasian beauties on a pedestal. In tv, it's not uncommon to see a mixed actress playing a socialite while a darker skinned actress is playing a subserviant role such as a maid.
