I want to go someday just for the experience, funds permitting, but I live/go to college in NY, so, not gonna happen this year.

There's lots of good bands this year. Dinosaur Jr. (already saw them once and they were AMAZING), The Evens, The Make-Up, and Violent Femmes (they're back together?!) And Red Hot Chili Peppers and Social Distortion would be nice to see too.

The Stone Roses are one of the headliners! I've wanted to go to Coachella for a few years but this is THE year to be there and I won't be able to make it

There are lots of different festivals you could go to for the experience that are much cheaper.

Idk, I've just never understood people that go to concerts for bands they don't know.

I know people who go to Glastonbury every year (when it's on) for the festival more than the bands. Whole families go every year, like a pilgrimage!

I've been to concerts for bands I don't really know, just with friends as a social thing or whatever. It's nice to hear new music and I like the atmosphere.

Damn, that is a lot of money plus airfare and hotel if you don't live in an area.
