No no no no no to who said it's ok for her to give up her dog. I agree with those who said it's FUKED up!!! She got them dogs KNOWING it was a possibility of her having a baby soon, as she is that age. Getting a dog you think about these things. I have dogs and my oldest is 11 years old. I am at that age that I may have a baby and I would NOT get rid of my dogs. That's so messed up and I really hope she didn't. The ONLY reason that it's ok to do is if the dog is aggressive to the baby(bites, etc) and we've seen Riley in vlogs. He does not seem to be aggressive ever. Can't handle dogs and a baby? Don't get the dogs to begin with. So unfair!

Dogs are family members, but if a dog doesn't get along with a baby, what are the parents going to do? Get rid of their kid because it's less established? Come on.

Keeping a dog that hates children just because you have made a commitment is abusive to the dog and dangerous for the kid. Use your head.

Ps
For all we know, Dani the permanent lip pucker and her boyfriend probably just want to get a dog because they are silly and want the picket fence family all at the same time so Sam and Jason probably loaned out their dog to get them to have a real taste of owning an animal.

Those who don't understand that animals and infants don't always mix have an issue with being close-minded.
Sometimes shit just doesn't work out.
^ Couldn't you train (ready?) your dogs for that? Serious question, I don't really know.

To the poster above saying women of chilbearing age shouldn't get dogs- oh please. Sam hadn't been planning on having a baby for another decade, Riley would have been dead by then. Her life changed in a short period of time. That's life!

To the direct poster above me, dogs can be trained to an extent, but those who hate kids or are scared of kids may not ever tolerate children. Other than the extremely polite, which seem to be the rare variety of toddler and child these days, rugrats pull on ears, yank fur, scream, cry, and throw things at animals. I had a dog who became terrified of children after we were on a walk one day and out of nowhere a little kid threw a large toy truck at her. In all other facets, she was a perfect dog but she would run away from kids.

Just because a dog looks calm in a vlog does not mean it can tolerate babies or children.

However, like I said. Riley is probably with Dani to show them what it would be like to have a dog. This conversation is probably just going to go in circles.

Yes she had a baby and she wanted what was best for Indie, but still that dog was established and never seemed nasty, the baby wouldn't of been able to annoy it or pester it so it would be a pretty low chance of it getting nasty. Its lazy pet ownership and nothing else. Sam and Jason are definitely the type to abandon something when the going gets tough.

Im also wondering how soon her wedding is to this gnome. It must be soon as she has been talking about it. I reckon they'll do it in secret. I wish she would run for the hills, she is making a massive mistake.
You are an idiot. Anything that potentially can cause harm to a baby needs to be removed immediately. it's not as though she put the dog in a pound. She gave it to her sister. Please get off whatever planet you're living on.

Umm dog owners have babies all the time lol. They are just useless idiots who can't even take care of themselves, that's why they gave the dog away. Doesn't matter who they gave it to, they still abandoned their long-time pet.
Non.

Some ppl don't know how to mix animals with their kids.. it really depends on the situation. But I do agree with their decision. Atleast smart enough to admit they can't have both pets

I have two dogs and two kids. I got the dogs after I had kids so the baby phase was over. It's a lot of work, but I wouldn't have gotten two dogs if I didn't want to do any work. Both of them are rescue/rehome from someone else who couldn't take care of them. My dogs are like my other kids. They're a part of our family. I wouldn't just dump them because they became a lot of work.
