Thyroid Diseases

Post by Justalkin »

Anyone here have a thyroid disease? I have hypothyroidism/Hashimotos. It makes me really depressed because even though I'm on medication I'm permanently fatigued. I have thinning eyebrows too. Does anyone here if you have a thyroid disease experience these symptoms?

Thanks for the reply. Did you ever go through with the surgery?

You should check out Kathryn Morgan, she is a ballet dancer and now a Youtuber who has the same type of thyroid disease. She does a lot of videos about her experience and the breakthroughs she’s made in treatment.

Bit of a late reply here. I have the autoimmune version of hypothyroidism, so Hashimoto's such as you do. I really feel for you, I'm going through the exact same thing. Been unable to finish high school so far due to the extreme fatigue and also the mental health-symptoms. Started with anxiety and I've also struggled a lot with depression. Feels really unfair to go through this at a young age especially. Been trying different up's in dosage but so far no luck in improving my well-being much. Going to a specialist next month and hope I can try some additional thyroid-meds to hopefully feel better. Haven't had any mention of surgery. In my country that's usually only done if the thyroid starts swelling too much, I believe?
