Wasn't it obvious from the beginning? Their father is a doctor and there's that negative (and often true) stereotype of Indian children being pushed into medicine by their parents. It's so apparent for all three of them.

Puneet made a whole video about why she wanted to go into medicine and discussed her grandpa's botched medical treatment. She probably wrote about that in her personal statement to get into Mayo and now she's doing derm. What a fraud she is.

I always thought Shaman was the one out of the 3 that at least had a true passion for medicine. Like the most out of the 3 of them anyways. Puneet and harman come off more like they’re in it for the perks but since they’re able to get the necessary grades anyways, they can still get by.

In my opinion, all three of them are cut form the same cloth. Shaman is more humble (less braggy than his siblings) and is better at concealing his true desire. I don't think it's a coincidence that he's choosing derm. There's a video of all 3 of them putting derm on a pedestal, praising it specifically for the money and lifestyle. If Shaman was truly interested in medicine, without regard for the perks, it would be unlikely of him to pursue derm. Hell, I would bet Harman would be doing derm if he didn't go to a DO school and actually had a shot at it.


Disclaimer: I think it's perfectly fine to pursue derm for just the $ and lifestyle perks, but the way Puneet and Shaman are pretending to be in it for not those reasons is disingenuous and annoying. They're actors.

I wonder how her parents feel about her being caught up in a scandal involving porn? I'm sure they're seething. From what I know, Indians are very conservative (much like middle eastern parents). I think this scandal brought self-importance down a notch since she's been so quiet.

I have a few thoughts:

1. If a pornography scandal is breaking, why on earth would you interject yourself into that?

2. She probably feels lucky and proud that a male celebrity reached out to her and wanted her pics. She thinks she's in the big leagues in terms of fame.

3. Bottomline, whatever advances her celebrity hood status is worthwhile for her. If it means being part of a pornography scandal, so be it.

Lmao not her getting verified as soon as she got tangled up in a porn scandal. Did she actually get a sudden jump in followers? I bet a ton of fobs who’ve never heard of her before looked up her account now but I didn’t pay attention to her # of followers before this broke to notice if she’s gotten significantly more now. She hasn’t addressed it, the fact that she’s verified only after bringing attention to herself in all of this, so that probably means she probably regrets it now.

And ya it’s pretty obvious how badly she wants a pat on the back for being a doctor when she got pissed that people were referring to her as a social media person who got involved in all this. Um you literally DO social media and make money from it but now you’re suddenly above identifying yourself as that??? What I don’t understand is why she’s so upset the media used pictures that SHE posted for her Instagram followers. Like if you didn’t think those pictures represent you or the image you’re trying to put out there, then why did you post them in the first place? Of course the media is not going to go post a picture of you in your scrubs, lol it’s THE MEDIA, like come on. Also, she only has a few pictures in scrubs and the rest are her dressed in some tacky fashion nova outfits . Anyways, she brought up the video and brought attention to it, so for her to expect the media to not use it against her in some ways is ridiculous. and almost all that go into derm do it for the money and lifestyle, it's literally the chillest job ever and you get clout for your youtube/instagram calling yourself a doctor lool

i'm a med student (not the US) and even considered derm but i wouldn't do something only for money, low key find it nasty to be looking at skin conditions all day - and with cosmetic derm i wouldn't feel like i'd be putting my years and years of education to use?
kinda jealous they are able to go through it tho! they'll be making bank

it's so interesting, even in my med school - most the richer kids who grew up with cushy families are all aiming for high paying specialities
i would have assumed that if your family is well off you would be able to do something without considering money?
but i guess there's no limit to greed

Nah I think it makes sense because if you already grew up with money, you’re used to living a certain kind of lifestyle and you wouldn’t want to fall below that when it comes to financing your own life without family money. Like you gotta keep up what you already got ya know. Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t harman wanna do something in cardiology in the end? I know he got into an internal medicine residency right now but a few pages back people said his end goal is something cardiology. If I had to guess which one out of shaman and harman was gonna pursue cardiology just from what we know about them, I would have guessed it would have been shaman out of the two. But not derm out of all things.
