Incorrect ways to store your makeup?

Hey everyone!
I'm curious if anyone knows any incorrect ways to store your makeup. I know it's bad to keep makeup in the bathroom because it's humid sometimes in there and that you shouldn't keep certain items in direct sunlight, but am wondering if anyone has any others to add to the list.

I know you're not supposed to put perfumes in direct sunlight, a lot of people do that cause it looks pretty but not sure the science behind it.
