Oh yeah, her busy thing drives me crazy too. She talks proudly like she's more busy than your average person when she's actually living the normal life for someone working full-time. It must be new to her. Heck, I'm just a boring old waitress/uni student and I'm often working 10 hour days, split shifts so I'm coming home at midnight and getting up at 5am for the breakfast shift.CaptainDread wrote:
There are so many reasons her latest video annoys me so much.
There's the obnoxious self-praise of how busy she is and how little time for free time and meeting friends her job(s) leave her, as she comes home from Les Mis at around 1am and of course has to sleep until 11 to be fully rested, which realistically gives her much more sleep than most working people. And then there are only four hours for her to do anything before she has to get back. So naturally, meeting friends in that time - which could easily be prolonged - is impossible. Again, I'm just thinking of normal working people working low-paying low-prestige jobs where workdays can stretch to 10 or 12 hours, which means getting up early and coming home late and that don't include a lot of midday free tIme.
Also, to name just another annoying aspect: the chocolate portrait. "You wouldn't rather have your mum do One Direction or Johnny Depp, but me?!" There's just that niggling undertone of "obviously I'm a much better role model".
There is so much more but I'll leave it at that for now. Don't want my first post (hi, by the way ) to become too... ranty.
I wonder if Carrie has ever had a job, not a musical or acting one, but like a boring part-time job as a teenager. I feel as though she hasn't. She acts like it's so novel to have to work a lot, it's almost embarrassing.
