Anyone seen her Coachella essentials video? I'm sick of her trolling videos and overused awkward jokes so i dont want to waste my time, it looks cringey/try hard from the thumbnail.

I actually think it wasn't that bad. For one, she actually had useful advice interspersed, even if it was kind of obvious stuff. She related just about everything to being attacked/in an apocalypse which was cringe-y after a while, but by the end she says that it was supposed to allude to "The Walking Dead". A little bit of a flop on the humor, but overall much more solid than some of her recent videos.

As for Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, the trailer made it seem like Hannah's character is secondary to Grace's leading role, which probably won't sit well with people who are fans of both of them/just Hannah. And the characters seem kind of daft, which is the complete opposite of what should happen for a feminist-style superhero franchise. I had pretty high hopes for the project, but I have a feeling it's not going to do nearly as well as Camo Takota did.

On that note, does anyone know if EWDG is supposed to be a movie or a series? I thought it was initially going to be a remake of the original series, but the trailer definitely seemed movie-like. And the YouTube comment section is pretty confused, too.

And to be fair, the loss of weight can be due to stress, obviously the girl has been overworked since she broke off of dailygrace and as for Mamrie, i feel like something happened to her recently, like she broke up with the dude she was seeing or something personal.

Idk, Mamrie seems alright to me. She's turned vegan and has been eating very healthily, but she wasn't skinny skinny like Grace was before, and i don't think she's been exercising constantly either.

I think EWDG is a feature length film by the sounds of it though i agree that it could be confusing

My impression on the Electra Women and Dyna Girl situation, as far as I can tell, is that they're not as heavily involved in the process of making it. At least it seems to me that way. They look like just actors in the movie.

I think the trailer was cut pretty generically. I really hope the movie is much better than the trailer, that's for sure. It probably won't be good, because generally movies YouTubers are involved with kind of suck. But since it's based off of an older piece of media, the story could be better than expected. From what I can see, it at least looks better than Lazer Team by Rooster Teeth.

Mamrie's weight loss has surprised me. She looks great, but it just surprised me. I think I recall her saying she had been through some really rough stuff, so maybe that's why.

The trailer was awful. It looks like something that should have been made 10 years ago.

EWDG was shot as a web series (I think I read 8 episodes, each about 11 minutes long), but the pieces could be assembled into a full movie. I guess they shot some connecting footage to make the story flow either way. Fullscreen is going to begin showing the segments on their new $5 a month service, or you can buy the assembled movie in June.

I thought the trailer was odd because of what they included. Grace stumbling her way through a "Kegel exercises" joke was painful, and Hannah trying to sell that bad "soup can" joke wasn't much better. It only made the impression that the script is really bad. Hopefully, the whole movie won't be an embarrassment. The girls have Dirty 30 promo following right after this, so the line, "...from the stars of EW&DG" could be a huge shadow over what is probably a much better movie.

Hi, new poster! I used to enjoy Grace during her Dailygrace days, but now I feel like for every video her jokes don't make me laugh anymore. She used to be funny (I guess) a couple years ago, but now I feel like she might be over it.

Her shtick is just....tired. The awkward looking into the camera, the cuts, the puns. It's so...2012.

Grace, is when you discover her. And binge watch her. After a couple month's it's the same jokes over and over again. I just skip her video now. There's nothing I haven't seen from her all ready.

Long time lurker, first time poster...

I agree with all of you that her shtick is just tired and kind of depressing really. By virtue of the EWDG trailer having been released this Tuesday, she has now had five videos out this week, just like in her DailyGrace days. The only difference is, I wasn't able to sit through one of them all the way through. What happened to her? She used to be (IMO) the funniest YouTuber.

Also, she is losing subscribers like crazy! Check out her SocialBlade page, she lost around 3000 subscribers just yesterday. That doesn't bode well for 3 million subscribers by Vidcon... or Christmas.

The sad thing with most YouTubers is they hit a stride for a year or so and then go downhill. Not sure exactly what causes that, maybe it's just collective boredom or making it's a lack of passion on the creator's part. Grace is pretty funny, I just wish she'd do something different. This YouTube culture of copying the latest trends is extremely boring.

I think Grace has grown out of YT, she has other projects and ideas and she's desperately trying to fit them into her YT career instead of going on with them independently. She just doesn't fit the YT mould anymore

I disagree with Mamrie. Her humor has always been more adult, and she is older. I've connected with her more than the other two. I think out of the three, Mamrie has the chance to really grow and get bigger.

Honestly I went off of Grace's videos about a year ago and then re-found them maybe 5 months ago and have watched every one since then. I agree that they aren't as great as her DailyGrace videos were but that's bound to happen, she did make "interesting" videos every day for like 5 years. I got the chance to meet her when she as on her UK book tour for Grace & Style and although I was immediately taken aback by how thin she looked when I met her she was probably the most genuinely nice person I've ever met. I really don't think she'd do something she doesn't enjoy just for the money! I do, however, think that she'd do better off of YouTube. From what I've seen from old videos of her doing comedy things and videos from No Filter shows and just seeing how naturally funny she is in person I feel like she could definitely do something comedy based aimed at an older age group than the majority of her fans.

I think her problem is threefold: after parting with MDC they owned the copyright on all her previous work, so she couldn't do Misc Mondays, Sexy Fridays, hazing people, doing the Grace Face etc. so she had to re-invent herself and that's where she kind of got lost, because for most of 2014, ItsGrace felt like DailyGrace lite. It was in September of 2014 when she finally found her groove with three videos a week, with FriDiary on Fridays, a random comedy video on Wednesdays and a podcast challenge video on Mondays.

The other issue is that, since she got started on YT, the audience has gotten younger and younger while she has, naturally, gotten older. I suppose it was much easier to be relatable when you're a 25-year-old catering to an audience of 15-17-year-olds, rather than being 30 and having to cater to 10-12-year olds. And as much as she likes to pretend she's a loveable scatterbrain, she can't hide the fact that she's got her own place, lives with a long-term boyfriend, has a dog and apparently spends more time in those craft and home improvement stores than at home. She has her s*it together and pretending like she doesn't makes her look like a try-hard.

Finally, I think she's gotten a bit lazy as far as YouTube is concerned. Notice how her podcast videos went from being "a YT challenge intentionally made stupider" in 2014, to a simple YT challenge in 2015, to just snippets from the actual interviews - which aren't all that funny - in 2016. Getting rid of FriDiary and not replacing it with anything worthwhile also hasn't been working. Plus, she's been heavily into DIY and make-up which will end up costing her a lot of subs, maybe even me, because that's not what we signed on for.

Maybe she's "over" YT, and I wouldn't blame her for it, but the fact of the matter is, there's nowhere else for her to go for the time being. Her TV show flopped hard and it's not like she's getting booked for acting roles outside of YT projects like EWDG or Dirty Thirty...

Mamrie did a great job hosting The Shorty Awards yesterday, with Hannah also as a presenter (and award winner). A lot of their friends were at the event, such as Rhett & Link, Frankie Grande, Todrick Hall, etc. All of them posted about it on social media, yet NOT ONE MENTION from Grace in any form. I remember when one of these "good friends" doing anything outside of Youtube was a major event for all of them. Grace used to attend every single episode of "You Deserve A Drink" that Mamrie shot. Are they all so jaded now that hosting a live awards show is just a casual Monday? Is there a little career jealously brewing among them? Was there a dispute between The Shorty Awards organizers and Grace?
It all just seemed a little strange to me.
