Hi guys, I have always wondered what kind of jobs Youtubers will do for a living if Youtube is like permanently down? For example, Pewdiepie he is so commonly hated by the community but hypothetically if he needs to find a job to sustain his current lifestyle (yes he has earn sufficiently for the rest of his life and doesn't need to find a job), what do you think he would be? Will employers want to hire him in the first place?
Include what you think would be the career choice for any particular Youtuber and why

Honestly, I think Pewds could get a job in entertainment (if he had to), even if it was just some kind of presenter or interviewer considering he's very well known. Even though he's hated by many, he'd definitely get people to watch whatever he was part of within mainstream media. Tbh the lifestyle vloggers would be the ones with more problems because you can't really get a job with skills that most daily vloggers/vloggers in general have. Maybe some gurus could be MUA's, but would need to be certified probably. Family channels would have major problems, especially if the parent(s) don't work outside of Youtube. I feel like if you're one of the Casey Neistat's in the community (fairly well-liked, respected, actually talented, business savvy) , you'd easily get an entertainment gig, but otherwise they'd be SOL

Definitely agree with entertainment for him. A lot of them are gonna be shilling stuff on instagram, like all those bachelor alumns.

If they don't have a degree or real experience, they might have to work a retail/fast food job. I would never depend on youtube as my sole income.

This is a very good question. Youtube won't be around forever, and now with the switch to Youtube Red I think it's much harder for people to become big like PewdiePie, Jenna Marbles, Smosh, etc. I guess they could go do porn haha

Local radio hosts, columnists? Local TV show hosts? Children's entertainers?

I could see many of the more affluent youtubers possibly running their own company or starting one, but I could also see some not so wealthy youtubers also having normal every day jobs like being a waitress or working in retail etc etc.
