i think i worked about three days straight on To Space and Back and napped for a couple of hours here and there in between. i just couldn't let it go and i wanted whatever it was in my head to be actualised as soon as possible. like, looking back at it now i wish i'd spent a lot more time on it - bc it's undeniably rushed as heck - but at that point in time i was like, i just wanna get it out and do it (this sounds like nasty, oh no). my biggest problem with working on fics and stuff like that is impatience(?) i always want to post my first draft, or edit only once. i'm trying to learn how to hold back and sit on things, because i'm always so unsatisfied by everything i whip out (can this be full of more euphemisms) bc i know i could/should write better if i just waited a little bit. lmfao @myself for taking fic so seriously, but it's been a part of me for ages.

I mostly link to ao3 bc it has such a simple theme and it's easy to read for my eyes! If you have problems with any theme, just add /mobile at the end of a link and it should help

Can you tell I love extremely long fics? ? I probably forgot about a lot of other titles again *sighs* I'll come back when my brain decides to work.
(Also I avoid angst with a passion, I can read it when it's mixed with other genres or when a fic ends happily. There are exeptions, of course!)

SO MANY STARS IS AMAZING!! wednesdays and sundays were my favorite days of the week through the whole time it was being posted because it's so engaging and such a great read. Ahh I want to read it again (this would be the fifth time..)

I have a rec for Kimboxes(on tumblr), she's writing a rather good chaptered fic rn that has a lot of substance and is updated regularly. I'm not going to mention it by name because I'm paranoid and there is smut in one later chapter, but it should be easy to find. Warning: it is very addicting and Dan is a frustrating little shit in it that you also just want to hug sometimes.

I actually have a prompt, to anyone who's written fics before, or just anyone who's willing. Pls can you write a fic about Dan and Phil being robbed. Like a break-in. (This is inspiration from the OT thread in which ppl said they've had home intruders before. eek!) It can be phan or not phan. maybe the main character and pov can be the robber who finds phil's cache of kinky cat masks, and other stuff around the house.

After hundreds of hours of sifting through Dan and Phil’s vlogs, and countless more poring over electronic records, I’d finally succeeded in securing the holy grail of Phan secrets. No, not the Valentine’s Day video. That shit was everywhere; every true phan had a grainy copy downloaded to their computer, it’d already lost its power. I needed stronger stuff to get me off. I mean Dan and Phil’s home address. It’s *****************.

I lived for the thrill of Dan and Phil. I spent all my hours stalking then URL. Enlarging half-second blurry lube frames and matching up the possible products, sighing over heart-eyes gifs, scrolling topsy for long-deleted phan tweets, retweeting Phil for emoji love, spending $100+ each liveshow in the hopes that sempai would notice me. I was Phan trash, through and through. Now it was finally my time to stalk them IRL.

I’m recounting this incredible story now because I think the world deserves to know what happened within that house the fateful day I went there. What secrets I discovered. Just know that I am publishing this story under an anonymous account, because of the backlash I anticipate I’ll receive, and am turning off my PM function for the time being.

I flew to London over Memorial Day Weekend, arriving at Heathrow Airport in the late afternoon, and took a taxi straight from the airport to Dan and Phil’s house at *****************. Due to sensitive information I cannot disclose at this time, I’d calculated that Dan and Phil would be away from the premises at that time. It was getting dark, and I had worn dark clothing to further conceal myself as I attempted to infiltrate the house. I took out my plastic lock picker that I had hidden between maxi-pads in my toiletry bag (to escape the airport’s x-ray scanners, and employees’ notice), and swiftly picked the lock on their front door, then the one on the inner door to their apartment, using my years of Girl Scouts training. I took out my D&P house floor plan I’d drawn from memory and padded up the flight of stairs, passing the bathroom on my way up. I entered Dan’s bedroom at the end of the hall first and took several quick photos as proof (these photos have since been wiped from my phone, to eliminate incriminating evidence). The room was incredibly messy, and I had a hard time searching for any hard proof lying around I could snap a picture of, like a diary, a love letter, an adoption form (very likely all of Dan’s documents were electronic). I did a cursory check through his closet and his drawers and found nothing out of the ordinary. I was pretty disappointed by that point, and was ready to move on to Phil’s room, though I’d calculated that by then I only had about twenty minutes left before they returned. Before I left, I spied Dan’s hair straightener lying on the carpet. In a burst of emotion I cried for Dan’s curly hair, and impulsively pocketed his straightener before exiting the room. In case you’re wondering, I have it stored in an offshore safety vault that would require two weeks’ notice for me to retrieve, but I have a photograph of it which I will post shortly, and you’ll see that the model and make of the hair straightener matches up to Dan’s perfectly. Anyway, once I was in Phil’s room (which was much neater than Dan’s, by the way), I did the same, first taking photographs (which I’ve since deleted as well). I spied the wooden trunk next to his bed and opened it. I rifled through it, finding the kinky cat mask and rainbow hand puppet, but not expecting anything interesting, really. Suddenly, my fingers hit into something hard and pokey and slightly gummy to the touch, and I knew I’d hit the jackpot. Throwing aside the puppets and masks, I uncovered Phil’s secret stash of hardcore sex toys. I cannot elaborate on the nature of these toys because that would violate the terms of this forum, but I took pictures to document them, which I have not deleted from my phone, and would be willing to share with anyone who wires money to my PayPal account (to prove that you’re over 18, since only legal adults can have PayPal accounts). I was so shocked and awed that I, a lowly fangirl, had finally obtained irresputible poof of phan, that I sat there in silence with Phil’s toys on my lap for a good five minutes. Suddenly, I heard the sound of people entering the house from below. It was Dan and Phil! They were already coming up the stairs. In a panic I scooped up the toys and threw them into the trunk, and threw myself under Phil’s bed, expecting them to burst into the room at any second. Thankfully, they went to Dan's room instead (D+P usually start in D’s room?? I scribbled down on my legal pad), and shortly afterwards I heard the faint sound of classical music, and under cover of the romantic music and other noises, I quietly stole out of Phil’s bedroom and down the stairs, and out the door. I dialed the taxi service and a cab picked me up a few minutes later. I was back home in time for school on Tuesday.

This has actually been on my mind for a bit, (and I haven't really read that many fics before), but i noticed that it's really difficult for me to finish reading some fics, especially the ones on blogs that have really hard-to-read font types or colors. I also have a short attention span and bad eyesight, and prefer action/comedy over fluff haha.
